Question
Hello Jose.

My 2000 Acura TL has warped rotors.  The service depart. tells me this is a normal process that occurs when driving in traffic.  I'm skeptical because this doesn't happen with any of my other vehicles.  Is this a common problem? Or might there be a defect in the design of the brake system?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Answer
jenn,
it happens, but it's NOT "Normal Process". i have to admit that the reason that rotors warp are 99.9% operator caused.
how is that possible you may be wondering? i have a 30thousadn dollar car and i would do that on porposes. well while you drive the rotors heat up... very hot... if you drive throught a large puddle or water and forge thoses rotors you just created a 3-5 hundered dollar problem just to splash water on your fender( not that you would do that... wink wink...)
there is not (to my knowlege) a design problem with the 2000 TL. the braking system on your vehicle i assure you is the Top of the line, of which i see a limited few that would give it a run for it's money...
in summation jenn, i hope that i was able to bring at least a spark of light into your worries..
good luck
sincerly,J. Nazario
