Addiction to Alcohol/Depression and exhaustion

Question
Fascinated by your approach: ground-level experience combined with merging academic views. I grew up in England where I have had psychological problems in past, then overcame them, coped and been successful afterwards in relationships, work, academic study (biochemistry with neuroscience/philosophy of mental disorder) etc...

Now, living in The Netherlands with my wife and two young children I have reached burn-out and am completely exhausted, depressed, short-tempered and quite despondent. My job (tree-surgeon) is far from the dreams I had for myself and life is coloured dark by the tiredness and lack of energy I feel all the time. I have drunk too much alcohol to try and shut out the negative thoughts, and am tired of myself. I also feel ashamed of what I see as a lack of courage to face what life throws at me due the choices I have made.

Help....? Anyone in The Netherlands (Enschede, Eastern Netherlands) that you could recommend? Or any other suggestions?

Anything is most welcome.... having got over the embarrassment of beginning to ask for help, I am open to any suggestions.

Try first going on a HYpoglycemic diet. Also read my book "Getting off the Hook" it is freely available on the internet.

With your background in nutritional biochemistry, you should be able to help yourself.
