Addiction to Alcohol/My husband is a drunk

Question
he is killing himself. he just got out of rehab about 2 months ago, I went out of town on a business trip for a week and when I came back he was drinking again. he has liver damage, we found out when he went to 'rehab'. he has bone and joint/arthritis pain. he has given up on himself and our doctor bills are THRU the ROOF! I know he is a drunk, but he has real health issues that seem to overshadow the drinking, he is in real pain and he refuses to go back to the doctors because of all the medical costs. it cost over $20,000 dollars for him to go to rehab for only FIVE days!!! we are not rich by any means, we want help and there is NO HELP for the poor working class. wtf are we suppose to do???

Answer
HI Sharilyn,

Alcoholism s difficult to treat mainly because many experts appear to have a poor understanding of the underlying biochemistry that causes people to be come alcoholic or addicted.

If your husband is really motivated to overcome his addiction he should be able to do so by nutritional means and by studying the underlying biochemistry of addiction.

He should study my book "Getting off the Hook" which is freely available on the internet.

He should read:

Why Alcoholics Drink? at

For an overall view see:

Self-Help Personal Growth Program at:

and ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or Nutritional Psychologist if you want to.

He should look up Kudzu vine at our web site.
Please let us know how he is getting along and whether the information helped him?
