Question
ok im confused and really need help. I dont know if shes got a problem or if it bothers me so much because of how much im against it. everytime shes off work she asks me to bit her beer. when I dont do it she throws a fit and gets an attitude because she thinks im "trying to control her". this last time im pretty sure she even cried, but I might be wrong. I know she loves me, other than the alcohol she is absolutely perfect. plz help

Answer
Mike,
Thank you for your question.  It is difficult to assess this behavior since it is so limited.  Her reaction to your not buying her beer is quite silly and could indicate a dependence on it but then maybe not.  Alcohol is a subtle foe to alcoholics in the early phases because the society we live in imbibes so freely.  It seems to us to be acceptable for everyone else to drink so why not me?, we'll say to ourselves and maybe even voice that quite loudly to those we love.

Knowing you are opposed to it, she will need to decide does she want to drink and risk her relationship with you or does she want to stop it all together.

I hope this may help and do not hesitate to write again if I may of any further help.

Grace and Peace,
Clyde
