Addiction to Alcohol/Milk Thistle

Question
Hi and happy New Year!
I am determined to go cold turkey foe two months, breaking my old record (one step at a time).
I read that the herb milk thistle is supposed to clean up and restore your liver.
Last time I had a checkup Doc said liver was OK, but I do have some of the symptoms of 'fatty liver' and maybe gallstones.
I dont think I have cirrossis.
Just as a precaution, would this herb be helpfull?
Other than that, anything else I can take supplement or nutrition wise, other than no alcohol of course, that would benefit my recovery?

The first step in treatment is going on a hypoglycemic diet (see our web site) and gradually withdraw from the drug of addiction. If problems persist, it is best to consult a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychologist. Also search for GLYCERINE at our web site. We have also articles on herbal remedies ---> Index of articles.
