Question
Question. Have you heard of someone committing a sexual act with someone other than his wife while being intoxicated and have no memory of it. My story is, I am accused or have been confronted by my wife and sister-in-law of attempting to kiss and expose myself to my sister-in-law not once but twice 3 years ago and I do not have any recollection of this happen. Over the past years, 10 plus to be exact I have been experiencing total Black-Outs with no recollection. Apparently, this happen. I don't have any aspiration to be involved sexual with my sister-in-law, and I love my wife like all man should be in love with their spouse, yet this happened. It has now cause a separation with me and my and I would like to know if you have ever heard of something like this happening. Am I sick or have some kind of disease that can be cured? I love my wife and we both need an explanation as to why this happen. My wife does not believe that I perform these acts unconsciously. Is there any help for me.

Thank you

Hi Everton,

When someone is intoxicated, they lose their inhibitions so it's entirely possible that you attempted to kiss and expose yourself to your sister-in-law. You've been experiencing blackouts for the last 10 years, so if you blacked-out later on, you may not have remembered anything that you did while you were drunk.

This not only affects your wife and sister-in-law, but it is dangerous for yourself.

Here's a self-test that can help you evaluate your drinking behavior:

It is my opinion that you need to do something to stop your alcohol consumption. Go to AA meetings and/or get addiction counseling. If you show your wife that you're committed to changing your life, she may reconsider the separation and come back to you.

I hope this information is helpful,
Thank you for asking AllExperts,
