Question
Hi Dr. Plesman,
Can benzyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, cetaryl alcohol, or glycerol cause drunkenness (impairment of the mind)?

Answer
Hi Hashim,

This is somewhat outside my field of expertise. None  of these is used for consumption as far as I know. The best is to research the products in the Wikipedia.
