Question
What exactly are the adverse physical effects when consuming alcohol and an SSRI like Paxil or Xanax? (though not both alcohol and the drug at once) I thank you for your help.

Dear Augusta,

This is a question that really should be addressed to your doctor.

Alcohol and SSRIs interact with one another, meaning that they two combined may have more than double the effects than either drug taken alone.

These two drugs should not be mixed.
