Question
hello.  I just wanted to share the answers to the questions that you posted to me.  So you can tell me if I have problems with alcohol.

1.  I have tried to stop drinking for a week but it only lasted a couple of days

2.  A few people have told me about my drinking habits but they really didn't yell at me, so I guess I am not mad at them, they were calm and concerned

3.  I've switched from one drink to another only because I felt as if I needed alcohol

4.  Yes I have had many eye openers as lately in the am I feel nausious and a bit dilusional

5. Yes I envy people that can drink without trouble

6. well, I was a bit tipsy and burned myself on hot wax

7. no my drinking has not caused trouble at home; not yet atleast

8. I don't go to parties.  I drink alone usually, sometimes with a few friends

9. Yes I do tell myself I can stop at any time but I don't get drunk more times that I mean too; not enough alcohol that I can take in the house

10. no i have not missed days at school

11.  one time I had 3 drinks, vodka and juice and I got myself into bed and everything, then when I woke up in the am, I was like how did I get here, like I didn't remember getting into my bed.  Is this a blackout?

12. I don't know how to answer this one.

Thanks for reading the answers to my questions and I hope to hear from you soon

Answer
Good morning Alison:

Thank you for your followup question.

Yes, from the answers that you gave to the 12 questions, I believe that you are having a problem with drinking. And anything that you have not experienced are but YETS that will happen to you. Alcoholics usually end up at the bottom of the ladder with no friends, family and unemployable. Alcoholism is a progressive disease. It never gets better, it always gets worse. Until you hit your bottom you will have to suffer from exercising your right to drink. A bottom can be described as "being sick and tired of being sick and tired". It can be as low as a person can get...plus 6 feet!

From what I can gather you sound like you are a young person,if so and you are interested in stopping drinking and stay stopped, please write me again and I will give you some added info that can help you. You will not be able to stop on your own...Your track record indicates that you are on a downward slide that must be stopped if you want to have a meaningful life.

Thank you Rebos
