Addiction to Alcohol/How can I get help when Alanon groups are too far away

Question
Hi,

I live quite a way out in the woods with a wonderful husband who drinks too much.  At least in my mind if not his-- not all the time, but when he binges, he really binges.  I realize it is not up to me to get him to change, I need to do what it takes to take care of me and that is the best I can do.

I live about 60 minutes from the nearest city with Alanon meetings, and having been to a couple of them, I didn't feel a real resonance.  I realize now that I can't just stay sane and healthy on my own, but I have no idea what resources are out there either in person, online, or via phone.

Is there some sort of phone/online place to go when in dire need?

Thanks!

Answer
Good morning Amy:

Thank you for your question.

I don't know what State or country that you live in so I can't get specific as to the telephone number for you to call. However, if you will go to www.google.com and type in the words "Alanon telephone number in (the state or country)" you will get the number that you want or at least the telephone number of all Alanon numbers in the world!Thank you Rebos
