Addiction to Alcohol/If I am jealous of people...

Question
If I am jealous of people that can control their drinking, is that a sign?  Also, what can I expect during withdrawl?

Answer
Good afternoon Alison:

Social drinkers don't have to think about controlling their drinking. Those who have to think about controlling their drinking have already lost control. A social drinker is the person who is thirsty and goes to the frige to get a drink. When he/she looks into the frige they see a Coke and a can of beer. The social drinker will feel both and take the coldest one the problem drinker automatically picks the can of beer!

Withdrawls can be different for different people. For some the first sign of withdrawal can be death, by a convulsion or heart attack. For some it may be the shakes, loss of memory (from a blackout),confusion, DTs (Seeing animals, things or people who are not really there), Having terrible itches and headaches. The important thing to remember is you never know whats going to happen during withdrawals. Thats why some people go to detoxification clinics to help them thru their withdrawals, and having doctors/nurses available.

HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING ABOUT GETTING HELP YET. IF NOT PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ME ANY MORE. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT and then let me know how your doing! Thank you Rebos
