Addiction to Drugs/brother

Question
My brother is using cocaine, pot and drinking. His wife and kids left him today. I need to call him but I do not know what to say. He thinks we are all against him. He has been suicidal before and I am afraid he will again. Thing is we live in different states. I can only call him. I do not think he will go to rehab. Problem, all his friends are users, He is not very religious and has health problems. There are a lot of issues unresolved from childhood. He is a bright and hard working man and everyone likes him. This is hard for me, because I just described myself. I have been there and done that. Except I am clean and sober. I JUST DID IT! No help from anybody, except God. Can anybody give me advise, I feel very guilty I gave my brother his first drink.

Answer
Dear Dalila.

Your brother's drug addiction has nothing to do with his past upbringing or the past. Drug addict have a physical disease that can be cure by nutritional means. Once he understand the underlying biochemistry of drug addiction, he should be able to cure himself.

Ask him to read articles at our web site and in particular;

Drug Addiction is a Nutritional Disorder at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/drug_addictions_nutritional_disorder.htm...

Alcoholism (Addiction) is a Treatable Disease at:
http://curezone.com/upload/PDF/Articles/jurplesman/alcoholism_treatable.pdf

The universal forerunner of drug addict is depression and this is a nutritional illness.

Depression is a Nutritional Disorder at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/depression_disorder.html

Self Help Personal Growth Program at:

and ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or Nutritional Psychologist if you want to.
