Question
I am 56 and disabled, 8 months ago my son was in re-hab doing well but wanted out so I took him in my small apartment. 12 thousand dollars later and my own medicine missing. He gets violent when he wants my pills or money, he doesn't let me out or use the phone to call the police. He is 18 and love heroin, pot, pills now he is playing with a suboxum doctor. I am on methadone and atavan for severe pain, and he uses violence to get at them, if I say no he tires me out to no end till I give up. I am also on thorazine for schizophrenia, the other day I begged my neighbor to get the police, he wouldn't. When the police do come I get scared and get rid of them. I am contemplating suicide then he will get the help he needs without the enabling I do. I am a prisoner-I sleep all day and don't eat.

Answer
You need to seek help now.  You say that you have schizophrenia, who is your treating doctor?  Call him or her immediately and tell them what you told me.  There is very little I can do in Australia, and it is vital that you get immediate assistance.  If calling your doctor isn't possible, and you don't have access to any other services, please let me know what town/state/country you are in and I will see if I can find something (but please realise that we are on very different time zones so I may not get your message straight away).

I am soprry I can't help more, but if you are suicidal, you need immediate and direct assistance.
