Question
is there anything i can do to help relieve some of the symptoms? my boyfriend is quiting herion and was wondering what i can do to help him

Answer
It all depends on how long he has been using and how much and whether or not he has ever experienced a seizure of any kind while coming off before. There are so many factors that you must consider; he will experience nausea and vomiting most likely, chills, sweats, irritability, shaking and tremors are possible, diahrea, restlessness, sleeplessness and his blood pressure could either go up or down. It is so much better to do under the supervision of a physician who can give you meds to help with most of this and make it tolerable. Has he ever been to detox before? It is so important to take the proper precautions when coming off substances like heroin.
