Question
I'm in need of your help him 44 and have been addicted to one drug or another since i was 14, for the last 15 yrs its been heroin, iv always shied away from injecting thinking that was the safest thing to do although its now left me with emphysema, i can only walk short distances and am breathless most of the time, i use to work escorting to provide the cash for this but had so much money i was smoking four twenty bags a day around half ounce a week some times more iv now cut down to a twenty bag 3 or 4 times a week, i managed to do it by packing the escorting in 4 yrs ago, but i want to be free of it totally iv managed to stop once for 6weeks but then spoilt it by having one, i seem to be able to stop but cant stay stopped passed that first couple of days,i go to a place to get my methadone prescription but there isn't no counseling with it, well you get ten minuets a month, the methadone stops me from feeling poorly so its a mental thing rather than physical because i don't feel ill at all, i hate myself for it i tried going to a local n.a meeting a couple of times but its mixed with alcoholics and iv never seen anyone there who has a drug problem there all alcoholics and its a totally different thing, people there told me they don't get drug users there, is there any websters to go on that could help or support me or a site i could keep a daily blog so i could monitor how i was doing and maybe get a bit of support from others going through the same please help it doesn't help with been virtually housebound  thanx kelly

Answer
Hi kelly,

Most addictions - whether to alcohol or heroin - has the same biochemical problem. This can be treated nutritionally if you know what you are doing. In your case I suggest that you get yourself detoxified in an a rehabilitation  centre  and then seek nutritional treatment.

Please read:

Drug Addiction is a Nutritional Disorder at:

I suggest that you see a Nutritional Doctor or a Clinical Nutritionist to help you out.

Also read my book from beginning to the end. It is freely available on the internet.
