Question I have a 25 year old son who is a herion addict for the last 5 years he has gone through the jail system detoxed himself and now is using again I fear that either the drug or the detox is going to kill him and don't know how to help. I can't see this going on much longer. How can this drug completely take their lives over and as parents what can we do.
Answer Hi christine,
Drug addiction is a very serious illness. Most authorities claiming to treat it, in fact have a poor understanding of the causation of the disease.
Please familiarize yourself with the underlying biochemistry of addiction and see if you can find a doctor to help your son detoxify AND treat the underlying biochemical abnormality that causes him to be addicted by nutritional means.
OIf course, your son must WANT to be treated. If not, there is little you can do.
