Expert: Crystal - 8/3/2008

I have been dating this girl for a year and a half and during this time she spent 4 days in detoxify in May 07/ throughout the summer she left on many occasions to get high. leaving me crying in hurt and pain. We moved out of town for she felt it would help. In Oct 07/ she went to rehab for 30 days. I can remember when I had to pick her up I was happy ,but also scared. She lapsed 5 days later and then again at Christmas, I bought her rings for Valentines day and she sold them in Toronto for Crack at a McDonalds restraunt. I have asked her to Leave , but now feel a sense of loneness as I used to put all my attention into her and our relationship. Please give me some advice as to move on or to try. I don't think we has used, but some of the ways she is rationing to situations make me thing other wise. I do love her. Please help.I have given this woman my heart over and over again. She is doing house arrest for trafficing in crack.

I would like to suggest that you go to a self help group like alanon, it is for families and loved ones of addicts. You will be able to connect to others who have been through what you are going through and you will be able to find some closure to your pain. Hopefully you will be able to move on and not feel so lonely anymore. It is the hardest thing, taking care of those who are addicted and leaving them can feel even harder but you will find the strength to move on I promise, just think if you had the strength to take care of her then you have the strength for anything.
