Question
I dont know where to turn. I have been on methadone for over 4 yrs for severe pain and I just moved back to Az from Iowa and now I am getting the run around just to get back into pain management so i am experiencing the worst pain and withdrawls and nobody seems to care ive been to the hospital a few times and i have a pcp that "WILL NOT" prescribe any pain meds. I have been on a really high dose of 120mgs per day and now am just left to wait until a pain management appt a month away. The methadone clinics wont take me because ive never been on oe used heroin and the er doctors tell me they arent aloud to prescribe it so if anyone can help with some advice i would really appreciate it.
Thanks,Lisa

Answer
Hi Lisa,

I am not sure why you were prescribe methadone for pain, as this is usually prescribe to beat addiction. It seems to me that doctors are a little insensitive to your problem, because of whatever reason your pain needs medical attention.

I suggest you read:

Management of Chronic Pain at:

and discuss this with a Nutritional Doctor, a Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional psychologist.
