Answer
Hello Debbie. I perfectly understand what you are going through and I will do my upmost best to help and assist you.

As you are talking about medical insurance I am presuming that you are in the US and I am aware that it is hard to get treatment out there without it. I am from England but what I do know is that there are some 'Free' clinics and Hospitals for those of you without Insurance and I would advise you to start exploring those to get treatment.

Also,if you look on the Internet I am sure you will find some Drs that are willing to prescribe you some Methadone/Subuxone for a fee. If you can afford to take 12 bags of H a day which I know is a huge amount of money, then you most definitely have enough money to buy Methadone which I know for a fact will cost only a fraction of what you are currently spending on Heroin. But you won't be able to just buy it off the net as it is a controlled drug and has to be approved by a physician.

My advice to you is to reduce the amount of H you are doing while investigating every avenue possible to get substitute treatment or a detox program. If you are 'sick' you can't function so as harm reduction just take half of what you are on so that you are well and strong enough to look for treatments. Don't give up looking-make that your goal:explore everything out there and I am pretty sure you will find a way to be helped. An additional note is that DO NOT take Heroin with the substitute as that will cause overdose. Once you find medical treatment (methadone/Suboxone)and start taking it STOP THE H IMMEDIATELY.

I wish you all the best, keep exploring all your options and I know for a fact that the more looking for help you do and you keep persevering with patience then you will find suitable help. Anything else you want to talk to me about then I am always here. Also, because I am British and don't fully understand the ins and outs of the whole medical insurance system it may help if you contact one of my colleagues in this category on this website who is American. (I am presuming you are from the US so if you are not please accept my apologies)Nonetheless whichever nationality you are still follow the advice I have given you. You'll be ok.

I'm here if you want to ask anymore about anything else. Good luck, Caroline.
