Question
one of my good mates does coke and acid and i was wondering how they make you act/the effects?
thanks

Answer
Hey Ben how you doing. The two drugs you mentioned act in very different ways. LSD is a hallucinogenic and makes the user see a whole bunch of stuff that no one else sees. Some people really enjoy it,they enjoy the things they are seeing and its a good trip. However,it is very inconsistent in its effects. The 'good' visions  won't always be there and the user can have what is called 'a bad trip' and when that happens there is absolutely nothing that can be done until the drug has worn off-about 8 hours. So if he/she has a bad one (and trust me it could be real bad like you are living in a horror show and seeing demons, witches,a mad man coming at you with an axe or whatever other horrors you can think of)so its a very stupid thing to be messing around with.

Coke makes you high and feeling full of confidence, happy, untouchable etc...but when it wears off the user feels like crap and that confidence he/she felt would disappear too and the depression from the come down is very bad. Also coke is very, very addictive and your mate will find he wants it all the time. People lose their entire nose from snorting coke. It will eat up all the users money and that could lead to crime and jail time so again its not a drug, like all drugs,to be messing around with.

Other symptoms your mate will have are very extreme mood swings and feeling like they cannot function properly anymore and neglect themselves. It seriously is not good. The best thing you can do for your mate is show him this e-mail and find out info about these drugs for him. Get him to write to me and I will help to get to the root cause of why he wants to escape so badly. It may not have come to being as bad as what I am saying but it will get a whole lot worse if he doesn't get help now and one drug usually leads to another and before he/she knows it they will get into crack and heroin and meth (I think you call it that in the states).

Ben you sound like your a very good friend so speaking to him about your concerns could help him and if you can, get him to write in.

All the best Ben and if you want to ask anything more than I am here. Take care, Caroline
