ANSWER: Dear robert,

You are in a difficult situation and don't be too hard on yourself. Pain killers are addictive and we need to look at alternatives. I have an article called:

Management of Chronic Pain at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/pain_management.html

have a look at it and discuss with your doctor or perhaps get a referral to a Nutritional Doctor who specialise in this area of medicine.

Also have a look at:

Drug Addiction is a Nutritional Disorder at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/drug_addictions_nutritional_disorder.htm
and discuss this with a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychologist, if self-help therapy fails.

I sincerely hope that you can find an answer to your problems and let me know how you are going.

Answer
You cannot withdraw from these pils "cold turkey". This can be dangerous. You should withdraw gradually and under supervision of a doctor.
