Question
My son is 24 years old he has a problem with prescription pain pills,he spends his entire paycheck on them,he has no insurance,he is losing weight and very depressed,I do not have money to pay for a rehabilitation center is there any place out there for him that does not require alot of money?

Answer
Hi Kim,

Unfortunately the US health system is appalling (I assume you are in the US), meaning that if you don't pay, you don't really get much.  However, there may be some cheaper options.  You would have to tell me where you are though (state, city).

Also, the main thing is whether or not your son wants to do anything about it.  It is very difficult to force people into treatment, and it often doesn't last even if they do go.
