Question
I GAVE MY SON A DRUG TEST FOR SMOKING ROXICODONE AND HE PASSED BUT THERE ARE SIGNS THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY SAY HE HAS THAT PROVES THAT HE IS SMOKING. SUCH AS IRRITABLE, AND HIS FACE IS ALL BROKEN OUT. ALSO THEY SAY THAT IF HE SMOKES THEM IT WOULD NOT SHOW UP ON A URINE TEST. IS ANY OF THIS TRUE? WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF HIM SMOKING IF ANY?

Answer
Hi TAMI,

If an addict does not admit that he has an addiction, there is little you can do to help him. You can only help him if he 1) admits he is an addict and 2) he want to be treated. In that case we need to understand the underlying biochemistry of addiction. Most addicts are hypoglycemic and this needs to be treated before a person can beat his addiction. Please read:

and ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or Nutritional Psychologist for further assessment and treatment if you want to. But most can be achieved by self-help therapy.
