Question
 fountain of youth
Question   I am an older mid age man w/a wife of 30+ years. As we age I have noticed that sex while good, has lost its luster as the years pass. Then we both re discovered pot. We both greatly enjoy this stuff and am totally responsible while on the stuff, kids grown and married living away from the house.  I have recently been reemployed at a place where they random test for drugs.I have discovered much to my disappointment that 1 night in heaven with this gorgeous woman will take 1 month minimum to test clear.I can give up the high ,but here,s my problem:I feel like I,m 18 again when we make love.I mean the touches, the entire act of making love is just as I remember it from years gone by.We are not willing to give up this fountain of youth (we both enjoy this greatly) but now sadly I am looking for a job(in this economy) that does not random test, and probably pays lower wages. Thanks in advance for the advice.  Gary

Answer   Gary,

I am not sure what your question is exactly, what are you trying to ask?

My expert is on vacation, and I will try to create a more precise Question.---the way marijuana makes you feel when you make love to your wife, and how it really brings us closer together-how do I mentally put this knowledge out of my mind and forget it ever happened?

Answer
Gary,
You are going to have to pick poverty or great sex!  Simple as that:)  I understand that this is great for both of you but you can't live on sex AND if you have no money the sex will become less enjoyable from stress.  Why can't you take a break from the pot and great sex long enough to find a good job?  I have never heard of a 30+ clear period on pot.  Maybe if you smoke 24/7!
A heavy user only requires 7-10 days at the most and you can buy a test kit at the store.  People who love each other aren't going to go away if there is no sex for a month to 3 months.

 Take care and good luck.

Dear Gary,
I became troubled when I saw that you felt my knowledge of what you were asking was poor.  I will reiterate that I told you it can take 7-10 days and as long as 30 to clear your system of pot.  I am not new to drug addiction or working with addicts.  This is what I do everyday.  I take what I know, recheck my facts and offer this information to you.  So below I will "paste" a line for the Department of health regarding detox time from pot:

Marijuana (Bud, Blunt, Grass, Herb, Pot, Reefer, Sinsemilla, Smoke, Weed), 4-7 days (the daily, heavy user can sometimes be detected up to 30+ days)

I just wanted to clear this up as I am a professional and ex-addict.  Best of luck to you.

I will NOT provide information on how to PASS A DRUG TEST SO DO NOT ASK ME!! I can provide information regarding crack addiction, drug user life style, why they do what they do, visual differences between crack and crystal meth, what effects crack has on the body (long term), what crack looks like, what to expect when someone stops/starts using, effects after drug use has stopped, how long it REALLY takes to recover, what family members can expect of their loved one during drug use and recovery process, why recovering addicts sometimes turn to alcohol or pot, how to talk to your children about this drug before they ever touch it. I won't answer obvious questions about how to make or use crack. I won't describe how to make crack pipes but I will help a parents, guardians or family members identify a pipe, paraphernalia and the drug itself. Since pipes can be very sneaky looking and sometimes without a smell I will answer those questions also.

Experience

I spent many years addicted to drugs and have been clean and sober since 2007. I had a $1000 a day habit and spent over $70,000 in one year on crack. Coming off drugs and alcohol was the most difficult thing I have ever done. I also feel extremely blessed in that it was a drug dealer that actually started me on the road to recovery. It is a daily battle that never goes away. Only 3% of the drug population that quit crack (without rehab) actually stays off the drug. I have been clean for more than 4 years. I believe everyone is different regarding treatment and if possible should consult a physician.
