Addiction to Drugs/drugs; a few questions...

Question
(female-16)
My brother graduated seventh in his class, I'm the youngest and about to be 6th, my older sister though could care less.  Growing up, our parents cared and did so much for us, they taught us everything and kept us safe, but one thing they never really sat down and talked to us about was drugs.  I feel like marijuana is not as crucial as other drugs, I mean I still understand its affects and stuff, I just don't know how to feel about it, my parents never shed much light on being anti-weed.  They obviously don't like the idea of any of their kids coming home high, but it's not like a big deal, I feel weird about that...my parents are quite strict about most things, just not weed.  Is this normal? How do you feel? It's not like we're all addicted and smoke every day/week...
And the thing is, my sister took this whole weed thing to a whole new level when she started getting involved with shrooms, Coricidin HBP Cough and Cold, and cocaine-this scares me.  She used to use it often and be very cruel/rude/scary...She hasn't used any thing like it in a while, but every now and then more frequently these ridiculous episodes are occurring...could she be using again?  I'm kinda worried about her.

Answer
Hi alex,

Young people who experiment with drug may do so out of curiosity, but also as a release form unpleasant psychological experiences. The latter are likely to become addicted to drugs.
