Addiction to Drugs/drugs

Question
i have been smoking cannabis since i was 14 on and off taking ecstasy, speed, magic mushrooms and poppers i am now 24 and i think that it has screwed with my head, i am not a heavy user and i have cut down to only smoking cannabis now. I also only smoke this when i have the money to buy it which is a quarter ounce every 2 weeks. I am now seeing things which aren't actually there and hearing things in my head now and this is when i am not high, I am just wondering if there is any help i can get for this to stop or at least calm down. I also would like it if there was no temptation of these drugs but they seem to be everywhere i go and I don't know what to do anymore. Because of my experimenting with drugs I am now suffering with depression and have tried killing myself on a number of occasions, all in all I am just looking for a bit of advice,
     Thank you

Answer
Hi jonathan,

Smoking marijuana  can lead to schizophrenia so marijuana is not a harmless herb. If you want to beat addiction you need to understand the underlying mechanism that render some people addicted to drugs and others not. Most addicts are depressed as a precursor to addiction. Drugs are often used by depressed people to alleviate depression. Please read:
