Question
What are the long term effects that can happen from smoking weed that has been laced with crack?

Answer
Hi Becky,

Well, both drugs used independently can have long term effects, but I can't really say using them together necessarily makes them worse.

Marijuana can increase risks of heart attack. They may also have increased risk of respiratory problems.  Long term effects on the brain are also reported.  Many studies have confirmed marijuana's effects on the immune system, as well.

Cocaine is extremely hazardous.  It can affect the liver, heart, raise risks of impotency, and when smoked damage lung cells.  It is also harmful to the nervous system, raising the risk of the development of anxiety and panic symptoms.

So, bottom line?  The long term effects of both drugs is serious, either used independently or in combination.

Thanks for your question,

Peter
