Answer
Hello Floyd,

I sympathize with you I really do but we have to accept that we do a great deal of damage to our bodies while using and some discomfort when we stop whatever is expected.

What I would say to you is rather than snorting another pill which you are so trying to get off of for which I applaud and congratulate you; You visit a Doctor instead and ask for some alternative methods of alleviating the pain of your throat.

I totally understand that you are desperate for the pain to go and that you know that snorting a pill will help, but it's not the answer and will interfere with your Suboxone treatment and could therefore subsequently mess that treatment up from being successful. Now if you cannot get to a Doctor then I suggest that you take simple Paracetamol and Ibuprofen which has no added Opiate and use a throat spray which will numb the back of your throat. The pain I truly believe will eventually subside within a couple of weeks I would guess, though I am no Doctor, but I know that you have put your body through abuse-like we all have-and it will take time for the side effects of our using to completely go away. So please try the above.

I wish you all the best, sorry there is no easy solution, but I am giving you the same suggestions that a Drug Worker would give you (I've been in the services so long that I know their responses like the back of my hand!) So please give all that a try so as not to jeopardize your Suboxone treatment.

Take good care. Caroline.

My expertise in this area is in illicit/street drugs as well as some over the counter and prescription drugs/meds. I can answer questions about most illicit drugs and prescription drugs. I understand the problems Drug use can cause regarding convictions and debt problems. There is a difference between recreational drug use and drug addiction and can answer questions on both. Relationship advice if you or your partner is using and can offer help there too. Drug addiction is no joke and it can shatter the lives of the family as well as the user so I can also offer help and advice to friends and family. It caused a great deal of problems in my family and I also had suffered breakdowns,Hospitalizations, suicide attempts, convictions the lot. I had been in a 7 year drug using relationship which was tough. I've come out the other end now and haven't used illicit drugs for 5 years.
