Addiction to Drugs/Started smoking

Question
Earlier this week I was in Rome with my band, my boyfriend, my crew, and my Aunty. My band's on tour in Europe right now. I have interviews, photoshoots, concerts, meet and greets. I am busy all day everyday right now. This is a promotional tour to promote the band. We're not to famous but it's cool. On days I have concerts, we rehearse for about 8 hours straight. My manager doesn't allow me to eat more than a piece of fruit during those 8 hours. She doesn't want me to get sick on stage. But the other day we were rehearsing and I couldn't take it. I was starving and stressed out. So the next day I went and bought a pack of cigs without anyone knowing. I'm 18 so it's legal. The thing is, I have little girls who look up to me. I don't want them to find out. Luckily I haven't been caught. My Aunty doesn't know, no one knows. And I have asthma. I am freaking out and I'm really scared because of the asthma and I'm already too addicted. I've smoked like 9. What should I do? I want to stop, I was raised that this was wrong. My parents are very religious, as am I. I know it was a mistake and I want to stop. Should I tell my Aunty? I'm scared because she's strict. And my parents are back at home in Michigan. Please help! I have another 2 weeks until the tour is done. And if I had a drug test right now what would show up? Nicotine or tobacco? Luckily I'm not having a drug test taken soon I just wondered.

Answer
Hi Emy,

I find it rather odd that a manager should stop you from eating. Eating healthy food can help you beat addiction.  I will refer you to an article to explain:

Drug Addiction is a Nutritional Disorder at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/drug_addictions_nutritional_disorder.htm

and discuss this with a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychotherapist, if self-help therapy fails. The first step in treatment is going on a hypoglycemic diet (look up at our web site).
For more information use our "Search our Web Site"  or the INDEX and look for articles containing  topics entered in search engine.
