I was recently placed on probation so i immediately quit smoking marijuana.The last time i smoked was on jan 5th i have a urine test on the 25th of jan. will i be clean for the test? and also was wondering how long alcohol is detectable in a urine test? Thank you

Hi Matt,

It all depends on how often you were smoking before the 5th. It is possible that you may still test positive but when you do test positive it is normal for your probation officer to ask when you last used and then send your urine off to the lab to check the levels in your urine. When you use marijuana it is measured by a nanogram of amount in the system, if you stop using they will be able to tell because that level will drop, if you continue to use or even use one more time, it will show up.
As far as alcohol, it is not advisable to drink anything with alcohol while on probation, especially if you are on for substances. They will find out, whether you hide it or not. It is better to just be up front and honest so they are willing to work with you.
