Question
what effect can it have on babies and second hand pot smoke

Answer
Hi Donna,

Personally I don't think that babies or children should be exposed to second hand smoke of any sort.  Especially babies as their lungs are developing.  I personally don't have anything against people smoking pot (millions do it every day), but I don't think it should be done around a baby.  Although the baby may only be inhaling a tiny amount of smoke, there are potential problems around development.  Despite my advocacy for people to put into their bodies what they choose, I don't think they should be putting it into the bodies of children.

Personally, if you or your partner want to keep smoking (pot OR cigarettes which are just as ... or possibly more harmful), I would ensure that the baby is in a separate room with good ventilation.  Better still, smoke outside.

I hope that helps.
