Question
I've been abusing diphenhydramine (10-15 25mg pills at a time). My counselor says I'm most likely depressed. So I'm using it as a crutch to leviate the stress. I'm not seeing a professional doctor until the end of this month. At the rate of 300mg a day, 2-3 days a week, for 3 weeks, what likely damage am i liable to do to my body? And yes, I check the active ingredients and make sure Diphenhydramine is the only one.

Answer
Diphenhydramine is an an antihistamine compound used for the symptomatic relief of allergies.

Some allergies can cause depression and can be treated by tracing the source of allergies by Nutritional Doctors An other common cause is hypoglycemia which is a form of allergy to sugar.
