Addiction to Drugs - Methadone withdrawl

Expert: Jurriaan Plesman, Nutritional Psychologist - 4/11/2007

Question
Hi, I a currently going through methadon withdrawl, by choice, was at 5mg for 1wk then stopped. it is day 4 and still feel pretty bad. is there any natural way to subside withdrawl symptoms? My doctor prescribed Clonapin and it is helping some, but is making me sooo tired. I am very committed to quitting, and not going back to my old lifestyle....any advise??

Answer
Hi Carol,

Congratulations for deciding to withdraw from drugs. The best way I can help you by making you realize that drugs addiction involves a biochemical abnormality that may have existed prior to the time you started taking drugs.

Most dug addicts are found to be hypoglycemic and thus an important step in the treatment is for recovering addicts to go on a hypoglycemic diet.

Please read:

Also have a look at GLYCERINE in the reduction in withdrawal symptoms.
