Addiction to Drugs/POT ADDICTION

Question
Hello,  I'm 14 and my girlfriend just broke up with me....  She said she has too much going on in her life which i can partially understand.  Having learned previously from her she does some pot which she gets from her older brother, and a boy at school.   I asked her, "since there is so much going on in your life are u sure doing pot is OK?"  She responded by telling me that she is actually addicted badly.  She said shes gotten into fights just to get more pot.  I still love her and i want to help her.  After spending a while looking around i decided that doing something like this in open forums was my best bet.   I highly doubt that she would consider or afford a rehab clinic and i want to know if there are an GOOD alternate decisions to going and staying at a rehab clinic.  THANKS!

Answer
Hello Chris, Helping your GF all depends whether she wants to overcome her addiction. If she does not want to, there is nothing we can do. It is better to stay away, because people with addictions  are too unpredictable and unstable to have relationships with. You only can get hurt.

If however she wants to overcome her addiction it is important to realize that it is a DISEASE in the literal sense of the word. People with addictions usually have hypoglycemia that needs to be treated nutritionally BEFORE any "psychological" treatment.
