Answer
Hi Kurt,

Yes smoking marijuana can be very addictive. It is not just a matter of stopping smoking, but dealing with the effects of a metabolic disorder, that probably brought you to smoking M as a form of self-medication.

Most addicts are found to be hypoglycemic, which means that the person has problems metabolizing the sugars in our food into biological energy. That energy is required for the body to produce the feel good neurotransmitters such as serotonin.

The non-drug treatment is going on a high protein and low refined carbohydrate diet, such as the hypoglycemic diet.
