Question
i do 4o mg's of oxy a day and ive been doing it for about 6 months. I realized that its time to quit and just wanted to know if you know anyone who just stopped completely or wondered if it was possible without going to rehab. lemme know

Answer
Hi John, thanks for your question. Yes I have seen people leave certain drugs behind without utilizing rehab. That will really depend on your personal resolve to abstain from oxys. You will probably have some level of withdrawal for a few days until your body adjusts to functioning without them. Mentally, that could be another issue, that's where treatment can be very useful.
If you want to quit at all costs, then I believe you have a better shot of kicking oxys than someone who is trying to quit for other reasons (ie. family, job, in trouble with the law...etc.). It will all ultimately boil down to how bad you want recovery. If you try to abstain from them and find that you can't then I would recommend that you seek treatment as soon as possible...the longer you let your addiction thrive the harder it can be to kick. In addition, I would suggest that, if you are really serious about quitting, you let your family or spouse know what you are trying to do so that they can be a form of support for you. It is always good to have someone in our corner pulling for us. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Good Luck,
Charles
