Question
Sorry if I post wrongly if you are not the precised doctor, cause I was on my desperate needs. I been given stillnox by my general doctor for sleeping needs, but it seem to actually make me very weak and infact have lots of cranky dreams, pratically things that doesnt happen in my life. Its unlike a bad nightmare or a good dream, its more on dreams that doesnt involve any part of my life, which is turning me cranky. Its killing my life now, as I develop fears for everything as in scary and cranky. Is it possible that the drug had cause me to be like this? I dont have any drug or drinking addiction, I used to have a good lifestyle till this medicine.

Answer
Stillnox is a sleeping agent and can be habit forming. As a Nutritional psychologist I am not in favour of drug therapy for mental illnesses unless in very severe cases.

There are nutritional ways of treating insomnia. Insomnia is a common sign of other mental problems and they seem to be all, related to one another.

It has to do with the body capacity to build feel good neurotransmitters. The major obstacle is the conversion of sugars in food into biological energy. This energy is required to manufacture the feel good neurotransmitters. People with insulin resistance have problems getting proper amount of energy and hence may suffer mental problem including insomnia. The first step in treatment is going g on a hypoglycemic.

You may need to withdraw from Stillnox under the supervision of the doctor, whilst adopting the hypoglycemic diet.
