Answer
Hi,
I want to congratulate you for having stopped taking drugs. But I understand that you feel lousy now, That is logical, because the reasons why you self-medicated with drugs have not been treated.

All drug addicts in my practice have been found to have hypoglycemic (insulin resistance), which means that your brain  is not getting the right amount of glucose on which it depends as its only source of energy.

Insulin resistance means that the cells are not responding to the action of insulin, that is supposed to transports glucose (and other nutrients) into cells. Thus the brain is starved of energy. The body produces stress hormones to rebalance the situation and that makes you feel lousy!!!

It is essential that you go on a hypoglycemic diet. This is all explained at our web site.

If you have cravings you could try glycerine (See “What is Hypoglycemia” article).
