Question
I use drugs I would say recreationally?... I don't have an addictive personality...but I have been using heroin(Intravenously)for a little more then a year... I only use three-five times a month (max.) and spend about 40 dollars each time I use..I never have paun or sold anything to get heroin... and when I don't have money I don't "obess" about getting the drug or using... and I have never withdrew from the drug ... would you say I am an addict? I realize heroin is a serious drug- and there aren't many "recreational" users but is it possible that I could be one?

Answer
Hello Cori,

I have never heard of anybody using heroin and saying they are not addicted.

You need to ask yourself why you need to take heroin as a form of recreation.

Most have heroin users have a hypoglycemic condition  that makes them enjoy drugs, because without it they would be depressed.

Please investigate the connection between addiction and hypoglycemia and it is up to you to make decisions as to whether to continue taking heroin.
