Addiction to Drugs/hippa requirements

Question
I am seeing a drug counselor as per a divorce agreement(not mandated by the court).  Completing a program would allow mw unsupervised visitation with my two daughters.  for the record, there is drug use in my past, but I am sober for over a decade.   My ex-wife has been phoning my counselor, asking questions regarding treatment etc.  I am required to show attendance records and any drug testing results.  I am not comfortable with my ex-wife finding any thing else out, since she has already shown herself to try anything she can to prevent mee seeing our daughters.  What are the hippa laws in regards to release of medical information such as mine?  Thank you for your help and have a good day.

Answer
Hi John hull,

I am sorry but this is outside my field of expertise. I feel you should try to contact a lawyer about the legal aspects of your case.
