Addiction to Drugs/meds

QuestionQUESTION: What is it in pain pills that make you feel good when you take them? Is there either a natural supplement or a non-addictive drug on the market that will make you feel the same way?
ANSWER: Tim,
It is a narcotic that you are getting the effects from but there really is not anything out there that will give you the high you are feeling. Are you having problems getting off the narcotic pain meds you are taking?

QUESTION: Not really. I suffer from severe headaches and have for quite some time. I will go through times that I will wean myself off of them,(not much fun) and then because of the headaches I will have to start taking them again. It seems if I can keep a minimal amount of the medicine in my system I don't have the headaches near as much. I also take a couple of other drugs called Axert and Zoomig, but they really leave me feeling bad all over when I do have to take them. I have had several tests run, mri's, cat scans, blood tests, and no one can tell me anything other than it is hereidtary (my Mother had them before she passed away, all 3 of my sisters do as well).
AnswerAre you seeing a Neurologist for them because it is always better to see someone who knows how to really address this from all aspects. I know it can be hard to wean off and I sympathize with you. There are so many other medications out there today that are used to address migraine headaches and will possibly allow for you to not have to take the narcotics on a regular basis.
Make sense?
