If you have version 8 (PC) or (MAC) I, now I am speaking for me only, I would read the help file(s) and research on the Internet every where until I found and understood the solution to my challenge.
Experience Every business day I use Enfocus Pitstop, a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat 5 (PC) and Professional 7 (MAC). Without it, there isn't that much that can be done without the hassel of opening the PDF within Adobe Illustrator. Then there are font issues! Education/Credentials Degreed in Industrial Education and Technology, School of Graphic Communications and work in the prepress field everyday as a toubleshooter.

Question Hi Glenn, I am evaluating Adobe 8 Professional and ScanSoft PDF Converter Professional 5. I've been using ScanSoft so am more familiar. What I need is a good PDF converter that will convert documents, other PDF files, etc. into forms and allow editing. I also need good char. recognization. My main concern is with Office 2007. I have had trouble with converting 2007 files into PDF files picking up all the attributes. Do you have an option on one or the other. I train and need as much flexibility and uses as possible. I want to get into all the abilities I can use with the programs. Thanks for any input you can provide. Pam

I've used Acrobat ever since it's first release and Adobe products since they started. However, I have not even heard of ScanSoft PDF Converter. But that doesn't mean anything. In your evaluation of Acrobat, have you developed an appreciation for it capabilities in the SAVE AS Drop Down menu?
I will investigate ScanSoft because that is what I do. . .
