About Glenn Fraller
Expertise Even though I am donating my time to AllEperts.com and I am an Expert, this does NOT mean I know ALL the answers to ALL questions! It seems to me today, people seem to want too much from certain people. I am here because I want to help lead people in a direction I would go. My expertise is limited to Adobe Acrobat 5 (PC) and Acrobat 7 Professional (MAC). If you have version 8 (PC) or (MAC) I, now I am speaking for me only, I would read the help file(s) and research on the Internet every where until I found and understood the solution to my challenge.
Experience Every business day I use Enfocus Pitstop, a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat 5 (PC) and Professional 7 (MAC). Without it, there isn't that much that can be done without the hassel of opening the PDF within Adobe Illustrator. Then there are font issues! Education/Credentials Degreed in Industrial Education and Technology, School of Graphic Communications and work in the prepress field everyday as a toubleshooter.

Subject: filling in IRS interactive form fields in black
Question When there's an interactive form field on IRS forms, they fill-in in blue colored type instead of black. My printer's color cartridge is shot, so I only want to use the black cartridge (which I can set in printer properties.) The problem is the blue filled-in information prints too light in greyscale (which is my printer's only choice besides color.)
How can I get the interactive form field to fill-in in black instead of blue?
Answer Hello David.
I could just tell you to, "go buy a cartridge," but I've been in that state of desperation too. So here we go,
If you have any program that can manipulate graphics to Black & White AND a program that will allow you to import a graphic into, your home free.
Open the Form. Enlarge the Form to be able to read it on screen. Press and hold "ALT" then PRINT SCREEN/Sys Reg. That takes a snapshot of the window that is open on your monitor and stores it on the clipboard. Then PASTE into a program that will allow you to turn it into Black and White. You will have to do this a couple times in order to get the entire form. OR you could reconstruct it in Photoshop as an 8.5 x 11.
So there you have one way of getting to your solution. Of course, there is always a new cart.
Glenn
