Question
Hi Ken
Hope this message sees you well.
I have a print ready PDF supplied by a client. This client wants to update one of the pictures in the PDF. Can I update in Acrobat / Pitstop? I've been told the client will not resupply an updated PDF, so any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Craig

Answer
Hi Craig.

Hooray for Pitstop!! Ok not quite, but it is what will work for you here. I say not quite because Pitstop will let you place objects, but only other pdfs. This all depends on whether or not you have a newer version of Pitstop, I use 6.5 and 7.5. I am not positive this was available previous to version 5.

1st Re-save the replacement image as a high resolution PDF.

Next select the image you need to replace and under edit, select Enfocus Place PDF. It should replace the image with the new one.
If it does not, use Pitstop to remove the old one, then create a selection using the Pitstop selection tool and then Place PDF.

You can control the scaling and position in the Place PDF dialogue.

Another way would be to turn all the fonts into outlines and open the file in Illustrator, delete and replace the image then save as an eps

Hope that helps

Thanks,
