Question I am using AppleWorks 6.2 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0 to create PDFs on my Mac, system 9.2. I have created two docs allowing printing, and have sent them via email to a printing place (PIP). They can print one of them but not the other. They say that a red flag went up telling them that one of the docs is not printable. Why would that be happening? On both, it indicates in the security information that printing is allowed. Also, adobe doesn't seem to allow me to create a 5x8 PDF document. Am I mistaken? Thanks.
Answer Hello David,
On occasion pdfs created by office applications such as AppleWorks or Microsoft Office create their own set of problems.
In this case, re-saving the document from within Acrobat, as a different name will clear this issue.
As far as creating a 5 x 8 pdf, this should not be a problem.
If you are trying to create this size by cropping the document within Acrobat, you may be prevented from doing so due to the defined dimension from AppleWorks. Try creating the document at the desired size in Appleworks first.
