Question
Hi Ken,
I am new to Acrobat and would like to know if there is some way to import
photos to a pdf document. Have looked at all the menus. Am I missing
something?
Thanks, Dennis

Answer
Hi Dennis,

While Acrobat can do some text editing, it is not meant to be a page layout program. That is better handled by software such as Indesign. There are ways to import photos into a pdf document, however Acrobat does not do this on its own...directly. You could import the photo by creating a signature using the photo as the signature file and placing the "signature" on the document. This requires creating a signature using the photo instead of text. Its not the quickest or easiest but can work in a pinch.

Using a pdf editor such as Pitstop, a plug in for Acrobat, can allow you to import graphics as other pdf's and place them on the page. This is a sort of clunky work around for emergency edits at best. There are further methods as well, such as opening the pdf in Illustrator, but things of this nature can be quite frustrating and are probably best left to the pros.

Thanks,
