Adobe Acrobat/Embed File

Question
I am working with nitro pdf and I assume that there is enough similarities with adobe that maybe you can assist me.  I have a link to another file in a document I am working with.  Specifically, I am working on my resume and I have a link to other versions of my resume.  It works without a problem on my computer but when I send it out to others, when they click the link, they get an error message.  It's probably because all the files I link to are contained on my computer and not theirs.  The software provides the option to link to another file so I would think I should be able to embed it some way into my pdf and when others click the link it would work.  Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Darnell,

The file does not open when on machines other than yours because the path it is looking for is the path you entered on your machine.

In other words, the link is pointing to an address that is on your machine.

I am not familiar with Nitro PDF and how it works in this matter.

You might try creating a link that points to the file on a web server or some other shared place that you can keep the files permanently.

Also try searching for code that will direct the application to look in the same directory the main pdf file resides in.

Thanks,
