Question
QUESTION: I have been printing a lot of .pdf documents but the other day somehow they do not want to print anymore. I have two printers connected to the computer. On one of them when I click print, it aks me to save the document and when I do that that's it. It keeps doing the same. The other one says that it is printing, the printing window appears, I can see it printing on the computer but actually it is not printing.
I have no problem printing any other documents.

How can I fix this?

ANSWER: Hi Lesya,

What operating system and version of Acrobat are you using?

On the document that asks to be saved, check the security settings. They may be set to not allow printing.

Is the document that looks to be printing but really isn't, a large or complex document? It is possible that it is trying to spool the entire document and is getting hung up in this process.

When you say you have no problem printing any other documents, do you mean .pdf files or documents in other applications?

Thanks,

QUESTION: I am using Windows Vista and Acrobat Reader 9. In the properties it says that printing is allowed and I know that because I printed the same document many times before.
The printer that says it was printing before is asking me to save the document now as well. It doesn't matter if the document is big or not. I cannot even print my bank statement which is not big.
When I say that other document I can print without a problem, I mean if it is a Word document or PowerPoint, or a picture, I can print all of them.

Answer
Try removing the temp files from Vista. You can do this easily through the main drive properties.

Click the Start menu, select All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Clean-up.

In the dialog box, check the Temporary Files box and click OK.

If this does not work, you may need to resort to uninstalling Acrobat and re-installing it.

Thanks,
