Question Carol
Adobe Acrobat is very new to me. I am trying to create page numbers on the document that I created. Whenever I go to DOCUMENT, PAGE NUMBERS, nothing happens! Please help.
Answer Hi there --
That menu item is *very* misleading. What it does is actually number the *thumbnail* page numbers, not the actual pages of the document. Sounds idiotic, I know, and I actually sent a complaint to Adobe about it once. If you click on the thumbnails, and then click on the thumbnail menu, you'll see a drop-down for page numbering. You can then specify the new page numbers/letters for the *thumbnails* and not the pages.
The only way you can add page numbers to the actual document is to do it in the original format before you converted it to PDF (Word, Quark, whatever).
