Subject: Adobe Illustrator files to Quark

Question
I'm working on a project in Adobe Illustrator. It is saved as and AI file, but I need it to be a Quark file. How can I do that?

Answer
If you have Adobe Illustrator, you can save the file as an EPS and place it into a Quark XPress document - then save. This would enable you to give someone a Quark XPress document page that could be opened in Quark and printed.

If you are actually asking "can I somehow convert the AI file into a native Quark Xpress document that I can edit like any normal Quark document that was created in Quark - well - a quick search in Google for "Adobe Illustrator to QuarkXpress conversion" gives me - well - not much. Sounds like you may need to rebuild the file in Quark if you need a Quark document.

Or you might consider changing the AI file into PDF -- THEN ...

-- you could convert a PDF to Quark -
